I have two machines on my local network, both with sql server express 2012. We are shaking out bugs in an application that uses sql as the back end. I have set up a fully functional DB on one machine, and trying to access it remotely via the other machine. Some DAYs this will work and other DAYs it won't. I'm thinking this is related to IP addressing (we run a dhcp server, and perhaps the ip address of the host machine changed) Thoughts? Guidance? Please!
